  • The primary and consistent focus of this training program is on firefighter safety. Personal and crew safety is emphasized consistently in both the knowledge and skills content.
  • The Training Programs incorporates a risk management approach using Standard Operational Guidelines.
  • These procedures teach safe firefighting practices which are critical for maintaining fire fighter safety.
  • The material is featured in context using scenario based training, so the student will not only learn the skills, but will know when to apply them in the field. The result is a safer, thinking, volunteer firefighter.
  • The scenario training provides a real-world example of how the learned skills relate to structure fires in single family dwellings and two storey residential structures.
