- Based on core elements of the IFSTA Fire Fighter 1 and Industrial Fire Brigade Training Programs.
- Written for the rural volunteer firefighter.
- Directed towards the novice volunteer firefighter which allows for quick comprehension.
- The primary and consistent focus of this training program is on firefighter safety. Personal and crew safety is emphasized consistently in both the knowledge and skills content.
