Basic Fire Protection Assessment Evaluation

The initial critical step in the process is for the client to request a Fire Protection Assessment Evaluation.

Conducting a Basic Rural Fire Risk Assessment for a community or business is the first step in determining the most appropriate program and equipment package which is best suited to the client’s local needs and circumstances. The evaluation of the community and or business will be conducted with the accompaniment of the client’s representative.

In general terms, needs and circumstances relate to the community’s economic situation, geography, population (demographics), infrastructure and building profiles.

The basic rural fire risk assessment process is a practical information gathering and analysis exercise intended to identify and create a Community Fire Risk Profile. The assessment report recommendations shall include the type of fire suppression system options, staffing requirements and training packages. Also, the profile will aid in determining the appropriate fire and life safety programs which can be implemented to promote public safety.

Fire Risk Management Process

  • Initial step is an analysis and identification of the prevalent hazards.
  • An evaluation procedure will follow.
  • Mitigation strategies: Risk control measures are identified which are feasible and can be applied in a practical manner. These are combined with the determination of available options concerning the fire suppression equipment which is best suited to the communities staffing levels and infrastructure.
  • A risk control policy and implementation process is adopted.
  • An action plan is developed for training and monitoring the program.
  • Costs and funding framework options are identified.
  • Fire department support systems are developed to sustain the program.

Apparatus, Equipment & Training Option Packages

The client will receive a quote for a Rural Fire Protection Package which will include type of apparatus, fire suppression systems, ancillary equipment, training costs and fire station shelter. Basic and Standard Option fire protection systems will be delivered directly into the community or business location. Rural fire station plans are available for communities which will require a Rural Village Fire Protection Option which will accommodate larger apparatus.

Remote Fire Fighting Solutions instructors will deliver the Rural Fire Fighter Training Program at your location where your staff will receive on-site training.
